第59回 発生研情報交換会のお知らせです。形式ばらないディスカッションの場です。
発生研とその関係者の皆さま、どなたでも歓迎します。

演題：Artificial Intelligence や機械学習と今後の生命科学
人工知能（Artificial Intelligence, AI）や機械学習を生命科学研究に活用する動きが顕著になりつつある。
ゲノミクス、トランスクリプトミクス、エピゲノミクス、プロテオミクス、セルオミクス、グライコミクス、
さらにシングルセル解析など、膨大なマルチオミクスデータが集積される中、データ駆動型サイエンスを
指向する流れもあり、実験科学者の在り方が問われる時代と言える。
そこで今回の情報交換会では、AI や機械学習について基本的な理解を深めつつ、発生医学、
ひいては生命科学との関わりについて議論したい。
当日は、フロアや Zoom から様々な立場、多様な世代の研究者のご意見をいただき、
上記課題とどう付き合うか、思考を深める場を提供したい。

Title：Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and life science in the future
Emerging AI and machine learning technologies are blazing the trail towards data-driven science, which may dramatically change our research strategies in life science. In this seminar, we would like to discuss on the past, present, and future of AI, and how we life science researchers should deal with these arising concepts and methodologies. We invite the audience of different generations and positions to share their thoughts, questions, and ideas.
This seminar includes a lecture by Prof. Motoki Amagasaki (Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, Kumamoto Univ.), an expert in data science.
*Language for slides and presentations is English. We encourage active discussion both in English and Japanese
All IMEG faculty, staff and students are welcomed.
